Lambert: We Showed Great Spirit

Norwich City boss Paul Lambert said his side showed 'great spirit' to win today's game 2-0 at home to Swansea City.

The Canaries had a good opening 20 minutes but for the remainder of the game the Swans dominated and creating plenty of chances to win the game.

Cotterill's late penalty miss was a massive turning point in the game as minutes later Norwich City took the lead as Ashley Williams scored an own goal, before Jackson netted a second late on in injury time.

Paul Lambert said:

'It was a good win against a really good side. You won't see a team who pass it like that many times in this division.

'For the first 25 minutes I actually thought we were brilliant but when you're on top like that you really need a goal and unfortunately we didn't get one.

'After that they came back at us and it was very difficult at times but we defended really well and showed a great spirit and never-say-die attitude to stay in the game.

'We had a bit of luck but we kept going right to the end and got our reward with two late goals.

'Getting six points from our first three games is an excellent start, especially after losing the first one. We're still finding our feet at this level - and that will be the case for some time - but I'm delighted with how it's gone so far.'

You didn't show much else in the second half, a good start but after that we dominated. disappointing as we should have won it but i'm getting tired of saying that now
