Morgan Returns To Newport County On Loan

Morgan Returns To Newport County On Loan

Kerry Morgan has rejoined Blue Square Premier side Newport County on loan until January 2011.

The young midfielder played for County last season as he helped the fellow Welsh side to win promotion to the 5th level of English football. He played 29 games last season, scoring 6 goals.

It's an excellent move all round, as Morgan gets to play regular football, and Newport County see the return of a player who performed extremely well for them last year.

Manager Deans Holdsworth was delighted to see the return of Kerry Morgan:

'I am delighted that we have been able to secure the services of Kerry Morgan, initially until the January transfer window.

'Kerry was a key member of last year's side and played some really exciting football.

'He provides us with yet another dimension on the pitch and goes straight in to contention for Saturday's squad to take on Histon.'

Morgan played for the Swans in the Carling Cup first round tie at home to Barnet, and was handed a starting place on the right wing in the 3-0 victory. He showed some good touches in the game, he has decent pace and is willing to shoot from distance. If he can continue to develop and improve, I'm sure he'll begin to push for a place in the matchday squad in the near future.
