Pratley Wants To Join Nottingham Forest?
According to what Nottingham Forest chief executive Mark Arthur has been told, Pratley wants to join Nottingham Forest and has turned down a new contract at Swansea City.
There has been speculation since the end of last season that the influential midfielder was set for a move to the City Ground, but despite strong rumours linking Pratley with a move out of South Wales, he has started the new season in a Swansea City shirt.
As you'd expect, the club are keen to secure Pratley to a longer deal but that will only ensure that we get the money we want for him if a club does come in with a good offer, as Mark Arthur believes he has turned down a new deal at Swansea.
Mark Arthur told BBC Sport:
'They've offered him [Pratley] a new contract and apparently he has turned it down and again we understand he is very keen to come and play for us.
'Swansea have to make a decision. This time last year they went blind with Leon Britton and he ran down his contract and do they want to do exactly the same with Darren Pratley? And only Swansea can answer that.'
Arthur also explained that the situation is similar regarding their attempts to sign Cardiff City's Peter Whittingham, after having a bid rejected for the midfielder.
Darren Pratley isn't the only player that is being linked with a move out of the club. Angel Rangel is interested in joining Blackpool and speculation increased today when he pulled out of today's game at Hull City with a reported ankle strain.
