Joe Allen Returns To Full Training

Swansea City have received a boost today with the news that Joe Allen has been given the all-clear to resume full training.

The young Welsh midfielder has missed the entire pre-season after having an operation to cure a long-term shoulder problem.

The 20 year-old will begin full training today and he could even make an appearance on Tuesday night when Swansea City host Barnet in the Carling Cup First Round.

Joe Allen told the Official Site:

i>'I'm delighted,''

'I'm feeling good and I am determined to get straight back into it.

'I've done a lot of the training with the boys, so my fitness is not far off. But for the first time I am now allowed to get involved in the full contact side of things in training.

'I will train hard today, tomorrow and Monday and hopefully the manager will feel I am possibly ready for Tuesday. I can't wait.''
