Swansea City Reject Blackpool's Bid For Rangel
Swansea City have rejected an undisclosed bid from Blackpool for right back Angel Rangel.
The Spaniard wasn't at VC Sparta last night for Swansea City's second match during their Holland Tour, which sparked rumours about his future at the club.
Brendan Rodgers is set to have a meeting with the player on Friday, he told the Official Site:
'An offer has come in to the chairman from Blackpool for Angel,''
'But it has not been accepted.
'The situation is under control and I am due to have a meeting with Angel tomorrow (Friday).
'I want him to stay and there is an offer of another contract on the table for him.
'There is bound to be interest in him, like there was with Darren Pratley, because he's a quality player. Angel is 27, in the last year of his contract and desperate to play in the Premier League. But so are we.
'We have no need to sell him (financially) and I think this is the place to be.
'Like I said, we are in control of the situation and it was just coincidence he didn't play against VCS. Certain players needed a rest rather than play two games in two days. He wasn't the only one.''
