'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rodgers' Reaction To 1-0 Win

Brendan Rodgers shares his thoughts after watching his side dominate in today's 1-0 win against Cheltenham Town.

The new Swansea City manager told the Official Site that today's victory has capped off a great week.

Rodgers was happy with the performance but says there's certain areas his team need to improve:

'We scored one, created many chances and with a bit more luck could have scored a few more,'

'I said at half-time whether it's Cheltenham Town from League Two, a Championship side or even a Premier League side, that's how the game will end up.

'It's important that we control and dominate the game - that's our style and how we play football so on that side I was happy with that contribution.

'There are areas to improve but we created many chances which was pleasing.

'Overall its been a good day, the supporters have been terrific which was nice and I'd like to thank them for that.'
