Tudur-Jones Out For 4 Months
Owain Tudur-Jones will need more surgery on his troublesome knee which means he will be out injured for 4 months.
It comes as a blow to Jackett as he'll miss the start of the season and will not return until some time in October.
A routine exploratory operation found more serious problems that needed micro-surgery.
Darren Way also faces a 3-month rehabilition period after he has an operation to cure his stress-fracture which was troubled him ever since he joined us in January.
''Obviously that's going to be a key area as far as squad strengthening goes this summer,''
''Owain went for a routine exploratory operation which would have put him out for one or two weeks.
''But the specialist found things on Owain's patella that he didn't like and he has had to perform micro-surgery, which will keep him out for four months.
''Darren has his operation next week, which will keep him out for three months, so come the start of August neither of those two will be fit. That's a big disappointment for us.''
There's good news on the injury front as well though as long-term defensiev casualties Izzy Iriekpen and Steve Watt are fit and available for pre-season training when it starts on July 3rd.
