Swans Bid £100,000 For Johnson

Swansea City have made a £100,000 bid for Wycombe skipper Roger Johnson.

The 23 year-old centre back played 50 games in all competitions for Wycombe last season and scored 8 goals.

He is contracted for another year with the Chairboys and with the bid formally lodged with the Wycombe Chairman, Swansea are now awaiting a response.

We'll report more news on the subject as soon as we have it.

I don't think we'll bid half the amount Wycombe are after for Johnson. Seems to be by far their best player and I'll be surprised if he signs. He's probably not for sale at all.

Personally not heard of him before. He is good in League Two, but will he be able to cope with not only League One football, but Championship football if we're successful this season.

I shouldn't have mentioned it being Johnson now CP! I still think we'll sign someone today though.
