Kuqi Scores Winner In Port Talbot Friendly

A young Swansea City side beat Port Talbot Town 2-1 this afternoon in their first pre-season friendly.

Kerry Morgan opened the scoring after 27 minutes, but the home side struck back 20 minutes into the second half, with Luke Bowen netting an equaliser.

Trialist Njazi, Shefki Kuqi's brother, scored a late winner for the Swans.

Caretaker managers Colin Pascoe and Alan Curtis named a youthful side for our first friendly of the Summer, with no recognised first teamers included in the 18-man squad. New signings Neil Taylor and Scott Donnelly both started.

Port Talbot fielded four former Swansea players in their starting eleven - Leigh De Vulgt, Matthew Rees, Lee Surman and Gareth Phillips.
