'If It's Football, It's Vital'

49% of Fans Happy To See Sousa Go

Prior to Paulo Sousa joining Leicester City this week, we asked the fans what they thought if he was to leave the club.

And according to the results, very few fans will miss our former manager, who spent just 12 months at the Liberty Stadium.

The 39 year-old achieved our best League position since the early 1980's, but this wasn't enough to win the fans over. Supporters have been split on Paulo Sousa since he arrived. Some have been happy with the progress we've made with the former QPR boss - as he helped us to maintain our strong status in the Championship, but other bemoaned the defensive style of play he adopted and our lack of scoring ability.

49% voted 'Great let him go!', as almost half were even happy to see him leave. 28% said He wouldn't be a huge loss and we'll move on'. Only 23% voted that he's a 'big loss' who's 'done well'.

In our new poll, we'd like to know who you want to replace Paulo Sousa. Gary Speed is currently the bookies favourite, but are you in favour of another inexperienced manager?

Didn't do that well imo, the players were already there, most of his signings were *****e, and cost the club money, i can see why HJ was reluctent to give the man any more money
cyjax
Agreed cyjax--- didn't make the most of a good set of players.

If it was just boring, us fans pay to be entertained don't we? I paid a lot of money to support the club last season like a lot us, £400 on a season ticket not to mention all of the other costs involved. The money we paid per goal at goal was awful, especially given our position and the quality in our squad.
