Swansea City Target Preston Midfielder?

Sky Sports believe that Swansea City are targeting Preston NE midfielder Richard Chaplow.

The 25 year-old has been placed on the transfer list by boss Darren Ferguson having struggled to earn himself a regular first team place at Deepdale and the Swans are considering a move, according to Sky Sports.

Chaplow started his career as a Trainee at Burnley before West Bromwich Albion paid the Clarets 1.5m for his services in 2005. He made just 25 appearances during a 3-year spell at the Hawthorns before joining Preston two years ago.

Chaplow made 29 League starts last term for Preston and he was in the side that beat Swansea City 2-0 on September 12th 2009.

The Mirror have also linked Chaplow with a move to Premiership side Blackpool recently.

You have to wonder why he's been placed on the transfer list and yet there are a number of clubs interested in signing him.
