Dobbie Focused On Swansea City Return

Stephen Dobbie says he's focused on returning to training with Swansea City after a successful loan spell at Blackpool last season.

The Scottish striker celebrated promotion to the Premiership at Bloomfield Road, but talk of a permanent move to the Seasiders has gone quiet.

Dobbie said there was talk that they were interested in keeping him, but he hasn't heard anything 'concrete' on the matter, now he's focused on returning to the Liberty Stadium for pre-season training.

'I had a great time at Blackpool and it was a good feeling to win the play-off final,'

'But it wasn't quite the same for me as the other lads because I didn't really know what was happening with my future.

'There was talk of Blackpool wanting me on a permanent move, but I didn't hear anything concrete on that.

'But I'm just focused on returning to Swansea for pre-season training.

'Having experienced the thrill of the play-offs at Blackpool, I want to do the same at Swansea next season.

'It won't be easy, but Blackpool's success proved that you don't need a massive budget to move into the Premier League.

'And I think we are capable of replicating that success.'

A permanent to Blackpool for Dobbie was looking almost certain but now the frontman is hoping to show the Swansea fans what he's really made of:

'Swansea fans didn't really see the best of me last season before I was loaned out to Blackpool,'

'They will have seen me score quite a few important goals for Blackpool, and I think I can do that at Swansea next season.'
