Bessone Leaves To Join Leeds United

Swansea City have suffered another blow this week with the news that Fede Bessone has left the club to join Leeds United.

It's the second time in a matter of days that we've lost a key first team player and it raises more concerns as to why players are stalling on new contracts whilst others are leaving for other clubs in the same League.

Leon Britton rejected a new contract recently for a better deal at Sheffield United. Argentinian Left Back Bessone has done the same and joined Leeds United, who achieved promotion from League One last season.

Darren Pratley is another player who's been strongly linked with a Liberty Stadium exit. Some Nottingham Forest websites and forums even claim a deal has been done to sign the midfielder.

Andrea Orlandi is also stalling on a new contract offer and is considering offers from interested clubs.

There has been little to talk about in recent weeks about new signings, and fans are raising more and more concerns about losing key players and a lack of new recruits.

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson was delighted to sign Bessone:

'I watched him last year, he's very comfortable on the ball and is a very good acquisition.'

'We're delighted we've got him, he had the option to re-sign at Swansea, which he turned down because of our interest in him.

'He's excited, he's aware of the club and the fan base, and having done well with Swansea last season he wants to go one better this season with us.'

Is Fede Bessone a big loss for Swansea City? Are you concerned with a lack of signings plus the players who are/could be leaving the Liberty Stadium? What are your expectations for next season?

Him and Pratley are too good to be playing for a small side like swansea - Like all players they crave the bigger crowds
