De Vries Wins Player Of The Season Poll

Goalkeeper Dorus De Vries has won the Vital Swansea Player of the Season Poll.

The Dutch shot stopper broke the record last season for the most clean sheets kept in a season - 25, and won 65% of the vote, finishing way ahead of Darren Pratley in 2nd place with 15%.

Vice Captain Alan Tate followed in 3rd place with 5%.

Full results:

de Vries 65%

Pratley 15%

Tate 5%

Williams 4%

Britton 3%

Dyer 2%

somebody else 2%

Monk 2%

Rangel 2%

De Vries was a consistent performer for the Swans last season and has showed a huge improvement in his all-round game - mostly his set piece work and distribution.

He was a vital part of our excellent defence which as a unit kept 25 clean sheets and conceded just 37 goals, the 2nd best in the League behind title winnners Newcastle United.
