Richards: I'd Love Hero Pratley To Stay

Jazz Richards says he'd love it if his hero Darren Pratley stayed at the club for the new Championship season.

The youngster says he's looked up to the midfielder for a number of years and hopes to play alongside him in midfield next season.

Pratley is one of the most wanted players amongst the Swansea City squad, with reports linking him with a move to Nottingham Forest.

Jazz Richards recently signed a new contract at the Liberty Stadium and he's hoping Pratley follows suit, he said:

'I've looked up to Prats for years,'

'I remember when we were in the youth team, Sue (Eames, Swansea's kit manager) would give out some of the first-team kits at the end of the season.

'Everybody wanted Trundle's top or Robbo's top, but I always went straight for Pratley's.

'I have always thought he is a quality player and I would love to see him stay with us.'

'I haven't spoken to him since the end of the season,'

'But he is happy at Swansea I think, and I believe he will still be here next season.

'I hope so, because I would love to play alongside him in midfield.

'I haven't had a chance to do that yet and, as someone who grew up a Swansea fan, it would be a dream to play with a player who I used to come and support.'

'If they go [Pratley & Britton] and I get a chance in midfield as a result that would be brilliant for me,' he says.

'But just like Prats, Leon is a quality player and he is a big part of our side, so I want them both to stay.'
