Britton Set To Decide His Future This Week

Leon Britton is expected to determine where his future lies this week when he returns from holiday.

Speculation has been going on for months now about his future at the Liberty Stadium, with reports that Wigan Athletic, Middlesbrough and Sheffield United have all shown an interest in the out of contract midfielder.

Some rumours suggest that he's already set to join Roberto Martinez at Wigan but it does look very likely that we are set to lose one of our key players.

The Swans just cannot compete with the money other clubs could offer the 27 year-old, and with the chance of playing Premiership football next season there's only so much we can do to persuade him to stay on.

The news of where Leon Britton will end up next season is still yet to be made official, but Martinez recently said:

'In my eyes he (Britton) is a player who has probably been one of the best central midfielders in the Championship over the past two years, and he is someone who I know really well,'

'I worked with him for a few seasons and I played with him, so he is someone I really know well. Obviously, I know he is out of contract, he has had a few offers and I am sure it is the most important decision of his football career.'
