'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Williams Ignoring Exit Rumours

Ashley Williams says he's trying to ignore rumours about him leaving Swansea City, and aims to prepare for next season.

The Wales international has been a regular and consistent performer for the Swans ever since he joined from Stockport County in March 2008.

"Premier league come knocking he's gone, no doubt about it"
The 25 year-old has been tipped for the Premiership - he has certainly shown the potential that he can play at the top division but while he'd had to consider a move if it came along, for now he just wants to concentrate on doing a good job with the Swans.

"I`m not involving myself in any of the rumours,"

"I am just planning on having a nice break and getting myself fit for Swansea.

"That`s all I can do.

"If an amazing offer came along, the club accepted it and I couldn`t turn it down, then that`s just what happens in football.

"But, at the minute, I am contracted to Swansea and that`s all I really need to say about it.

"There`s only so long you can ignore Premiership interest because that`s where every footballer wants to play.

"But I am a Swansea player at the moment."
