'If It's Football, It's Vital'

MacDonald Yet To Decide His Future

Midfielder Shaun MacDonald has still yet to decide whether to sign a new deal at Swansea City or make his loan move to Yeovil Town permanent.

The young Welshman is still mulling over a new deal at the Liberty Stadium, but he wouldn't be guaranteed regular first team football unlike at Yeovil Town where he was an important of their side last season.

MacDonald has always struggled to get a good run in the side with the Swans, and a permanent move to Yeovil could attract him more as he'd be playing regular football.

'Football is a confidence game and I've never had a run of games at Swansea to get my confidence up,'

'But I think I made 36 appearances this season and it's been my best so far in professional football.

'Hopefully I can build on that now, and the first thing I want to do is speak to Swansea. Until I hear what they have got to say, I will not think about anything else.'

'I've had one or two games here and there for Swansea and then I've been out, which is frustrating,'

'I took the chance to play some games for Yeovil this season and I believe I've shown I'm good enough to play in the Championship.

'I know I dropped down to League One, but there are some big teams in that division and I think I proved myself against them.

'I want to play in the Premier League eventually — you have to believe in yourself — and it's about proving to people that I'm good enough.'

'I am sure there will be a few options for me this summer and now I've got to have a think and take everything into account.'
