12 Swansea City Players Out of Contract

12 Swansea City Players Out of Contract

Swansea City run the risk of losing up to 12 players this Summer as their contracts expire.

Leon Britton, Andrea Orlandi, Shaun MacDonald, Jamie Grimes and Jazz Richards have been offered new deals.

The other 7 could be entitled to extensions due to clauses in their contracts - Tom Butler, Cedric van der Gun, Fede Bessone, Guillem Bauza, Albert Serran, Marcos Painter and Chad Bond.

Chairman Huw Jenkins said:

'We will be sitting down this week to talk through things in a bit more detail,'

As for Britton, Jenkins explained that Swansea are still to discover whether the long-serving midfielder will agree a new deal.

'We will wait for his decision,'

Which of the 12 players should we keep and which should be released?

we all want him to sign, but if its an offer for the premier league i wouldnt stop him after all he's done for the swans. it would be sad to see him go to wigan though, unless the rumour about jordi gomez coming the other way is true....

If im honest he has done great for Swansea but i think its about tym he says gd bye to us, i cant say id be glad to see him go now. He dosent score enough goals from midfield 4 me nevermind the strikers. We need a new midfileder like britton but better now, britton has been a loyal jack!!!!

I think it's pretty much certain he'll go to Wigan, although he will need to pull out something special if he did, as the Swansea staff/players who have gone have certainly not impressed the Wigan fans one bit.

That said DP also looks that he may be on Wigan's radar too (£2.5m).
