Martinez: Swans Are Ready For The Premiership

Roberto Martinez says Swansea City are ready for the Premiership and it would be a 'massive blow' if they didn't reach the play-offs this year.

Paulo Sousa guided the Swans up to 4th place a few months ago and we were 10 points ahead of 7th place, but a big drop in form has seen us drop down of the play-offs and needing a favour from Bristol City to enable us to finish in the top 6.

Roberto Martinez went close to getting us in the play-offs last season but in similar fashion to this year, a drop in form saw us finish in 8th.

'It's a bit of a surprise (that they could miss out) because I feel Swansea are in a very good moment to get into the play-offs and to try to get into the Premier League,'

'The club and the city everything is ready for Premier League football.

'They have been in the play-offs since December and it would be a massive, massive blow to miss out now, although there is still another game to go.'

'It would be a shame to lose either Blackpool or Swansea from the play-off race because both are very similar in terms of their pattern of play .

'Both teams would have a fantastic day at Wembley because of the way they play.'
