Sousa Praises Kuqi After Terrible Miss

Paulo Sousa has praised striker Shefki Kuqi after yesterday's 3-1 win despite one of the worst misses you'll see in front of an open goal.

by Swan_Lady2
"He's right, it's the way a player reacts after making such an error determines their character."
The 33 year-old looked certain to give us the lead after a terrible miss by the goalkeeper, Kuqi followed with a even worse miss though as he struck wide of the open target.

The Swans boss praised Kuqi though after he scored before half time to give us a 2-goal advantage. He said he'd only ever seen misses like that on videos:

"Only in videos of the worst misses of goals.

"But his reaction was very important because it was a big chance and the confidence of the player and team could have dropped after it and the nervousness could have gone up.

"He kept working hard and was always looking for the goal.

"Shefki is a player with a lot of personality and he brings that to the squad.

"We saw his character once again with the goal that he scored."
