'If It's Football, It's Vital'

de Vries 'Very Proud' To Set New Record

Dorus de Vries said he was 'very proud' to set a new clean sheet record today.

The Dutch goalkeeper kept his 23rd clean sheet of the season today to break the existing record of 22 - held by Roger Freestone since 2000.

De Vries told the Official Site:

'It's a very proud moment for me and the team,'

'To break a record set by a Swansea legend like Roger Freestone is a tremendous achievement. Hopefully we can keep a few more before the end of the season to achieve our play-off aim.

'But we must concentrate on one game at a time.'

Sousa also said that the clean-sheet record was credit to the full team:

'The clean sheet record is a credit for all the team, not just for Dorus and his defence,'
