Britton: Draw Wouldn't Be A Bad Result

Britton: Draw Wouldn't Be A Bad Result

Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton tries to explain how different the South Wales derby is to any other League game.

Swansea City will go looking for a much needed win today at the Cardiff City Stadium, and a victory would complete the first ever League double in this fixture.

Britton said a derby game is 'crazy' to be involved in:

'Sometimes, it's not the best game to play in.'

'It's good, but it's not like a normal league game, It's hard to explain.

'From the first whistle it just goes crazy.

'In a normal game it's quite quiet and a bit more settled but, as soon as you kick off in the derby, it's 100mph.

'Sometimes you are not in control as you would normally be.'

'It's great for Welsh football that the two clubs are trying to get into the Premier League,' Britton adds.

'Forgetting the Cardiff element for a minute, this is a massive game for us on a massive weekend.

'If we could win tonight, we would have a big three points going into the Scunthorpe game on Monday.'

'A draw against our rivals wouldn't be a bad result,'

'Of course we will set out to win, but the main thing is not to lose the game.'

'We aren't just going to go there thinking 'Oh well, it's about time they won one' and let it happen,' he says.

'They are a very good team having a very good season, but I don't see why we can't keep our run going.'

lets be a bit more positive shall we? sounds like we are going to turn up looking for a draw, something we always moan about when teams come to us playing defensively hoping to get a point
