'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Injuries Mount Up For Cardiff City

The injuries are mounting up for Cardiff City ahead of Saturday's big derby match.

Manager Dave Jones is struggling with a number of injuries and our arch rivals will be without Chris Burke, Mark Kennedy, Kevin McNaughton, Gabor Gyepes and Mark Hudson are all sidelined while Joe Ledley, Anthony Gerrard, Kelvin Etuhu and Darcy Blake are all doubtful.

Dave Jones moaned:

'It's catching up with us again,'

'I had to leave Burkey on [against Leicester]. He couldn't run, he couldn't move as he tweaked his hamstring.

'We basically played with eight men in the second half because of the injuries we've got.'

'I was getting my creative players back and I felt I saw some light at the end of the tunnel because I know what the players are capable of and it was a matter of games, but it's caught us up again,' said Jones after the win over Leicester.

'When you've got players in certain positions I can chop and change it, but there's certain positions at this moment in time that I can't.

'Unfortunately, the ones I need to change are all in the treatment room, but we will see.

'It was great to see Joe [Ledley] out there warming up, so I'll have my arguments with the medical team and will try and push him.'
