Allen Looking Forward To Cardiff City Game

Allen Looking Forward To Cardiff City Game

Joe Allen is hoping that Swansea City can go one better than last season and get an away win at Cardiff City on Saturday.

The 20 year-old midfielder thought he had scored the winner at Ninian Park last season after a great strike put us 2-1 up late on, but Cardiff City were awarded a controversial penalty to give them a share of the points.

The Welsh international said he would love to score again, but the most important thing is that we win the game.

He told BBC Sport:

'I wouldn't mind emulating that again but the most important thing is to be on the winning side,'

'We came as close as we could last year.

'Obviously we had the disappointment of the late goal and we aim to go one step better this time.'

'The derbies are special games,'

'They stand out from the other fixtures because of the rivalry and the passionate fans, and it's always nice to be involved in them.

'The atmosphere is always electric and it's nice to be back fit just in time.

'I don't think there's been as big a game for the two clubs for a while.'
