Davies: We Deserved The Win Against Swansea

Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies said his side deserved the 1-0 win at home to Swansea City today.

His side extended their home winning run to 10 consecutive games, thanks to a last-minute winner following a rare error from goalkeeper Dorus De Vries, who was moments away from keeping his 20th clean sheet of the season. He missed the corner kick and Chambers was unmarked to head home from close range.

It was a bitter disappointment from the Swans after a tightly-fought match between two equally matched teams.

The Swans were missing some key players and were forced to include teenagers Lee Lucas and James Burgin on the substitutes bench. So it was looking like a good point for the Swans against a side who were very confident at home.

Billy Davies said:

: 'I think the win was warranted - I think we created the better chances and missed some good opportunities.

'We should have gone ahead through Chris Cohen but he tried not to get his hair dirty.

'It was always going to be a close game because they are a good side but it's a tremendous three points.'

'I wouldn't have been very happy if that decision had gone against us.

'But over the last three weeks we've been denied stonewall penalties, so what goes around comes around.'
