Sousa Comments On Pratley & Bodde Injuries

Paulo Sousa has commented on the injuries that midfield duo Darren Pratley and Ferrie Bodde picked up in today's win at home to Peterborough United.

Both players were forced off the pitch in the first half of today's match at the Liberty Stadium with injuries and they'll both be assessed this weekend to see the extent of their injuries.

With Joe Allen and Andrea Orlandi also out, Sousa has hinted that he'll consider strengthening his squad to cope with the midfield shortage.

Things aren't looking good for Ferrie Bodde, it's the second time now that he's suffered another injury to the same knee in a comeback game, but we all hope that the news in Sunday's scan isn't as serious as what it could be.

Sousa said regarding Bodde:

'It's the same knee,''

'He will have a scan tomorrow and we will assess the results.

'He is at home at the moment and obviously not feeling good about thing.

'He has trained well and has felt comfortable. He felt stronger than before, but sometimes these things can happen.''

On Pratley he said:

'He had a heavy kick on the knee as he turned,''

'Again we will assess him.''

'Yes, we need to strengthen,''

'We have a fantastic chief scout for that.''

Sousa also confirmed that Tate had picked up an injury but said there was nothing to worry about regarding the defender.
