Barnsley Join Swans In Final

Swansea City will face Barnsley in the Playoff Final after they beat Huddersfield tonight 3-1, winning 3-2 on aggregate.

Kenny Jackett joined the Sky Sports team to give his views before kickoff.

Barnsley faced a hard task after a 1-0 home defeat against Peter Jackson's side but like us yesterday, they got a victory away from home to go through.

Hayes put the aggregate score level 13 minutes into the 2nd half from the penalty spot but Worthington put Huddersfield ahead again 7 minutes later.

Reid and Nardiello then scored in the space of 7 minutes to win the game for the Tykes.

The Swans will face two former loanees as Nardiello and Richards formed Barnsley's strikeforce tonight. Both players played for the Swans under Flynn's reign.

Marc Richards scored some vital goals in the 2002/03 season in which we battled to stay in the Football League. Nardiello joined during the 2003/04 season, playing just 3 games, scoring 0 goals.

In a poll on our forum, a majority of Swans fans preferred to face the Tykes in the final including me, but any team who reach a final will be tough competitors, it'll be far from easy but we've been in good form lately and we definately have a great chance of reaching the Championship.
