'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bodde 'Very Happy' To Be Back In Action

Ferrie Bodde said he was 'very happy' to be back in football action today for the Reserves team.

The second teamers beat Bristol City Reserves 2-1 today at the Gnoll, and the Dutch midfielder opened the scoring with a strike on 23 minutes.

The 27 year-old has hardly played a game since November 2008 when he suffered a serious knee ligament injury. He suffered a recurrence of the same injury in August 2009 which has prevented him from playing a League game.

Bodde told the Official Site:

'I'm really happy with how things went,'

'I played 59 minutes and it was nice to get back on the pitch.

'I've been training with the guys for the past three weeks and I was really happy to get the amount of time on the pitch as I did.'

'I'll have to see how things are looking tomorrow to make sure that everything is normal,'

'I've worked hard over the last few months, Swansea have helped me with it, Rob Meppelink has aswell back in Holland, we would train on a daily basis which helped me a lot and I am happy to be at this stage now.'
