Penalty Decision Angers Sousa After Draw

Paulo Sousa's side were denied a win at Plymouth Argyle last night after a late retaken penalty shared the points at Home Park.

Darren Pratley opened the scoring for the Swans early in the second half and while we looked good for a vital away win, Andrea Orlandi handled in the box late on and the controversy followed.

De Vries saved the first spot kick, but it was retaken as the assistant thought that the goalkeeper had come off his line, a decision Sousa disagrees with.

De Vries then saved the re-take, but Johnson netted from the rebound.

Sosua said:

'Everyone in the ground could see what happened,''

'I have watched the replay several times and Dorus's foot is on the line.

'He did well to save to save them both. They were fantastic saves, but sometimes things go against you. I thought there were some very poor decisions against us in the second-half. Hopefully they will go for us in the future.

'We dominated the game for long spells and played to win - and we had some good chances to do that.

'It wasn't easy because we needed two or three touches on that pitch when normally we would only need one.

'Although we were not able to play the way we wanted - and pass it quickly - I thought we dominated the game.

'We changed our system (to 4-4-2) and still dominated the game. Yet we lost two points.

'The boys have come in disappointed because they deserved a lot more. But we need to keep doing our job with the same enthusiasm and playing well wherever we go.''
