Swansea City End Interest In Charlton Defender
Charlton Athletic boss Phil Parkinson has revealed that Swansea City didn't pursue their interest in defender Yassin Moutaouakil.
According to News Shopper, the Addicks are desperate to get the former French under-21 international off their wage bill and the Swans made an early enquiry in January about the player.
However, we didn't follow it up and Parkinson said:
"That didn`t materialise,"
"There was interest from Swansea about Yassin but it didn`t materialise.
"We put several calls in to Swansea but ultimately if they want a player, they`ve got my number, they`ve got the chairman`s number and they`ve got Steve Waggott`s number.
"The call just didn`t come in, so Yassin is still with us."
The League One club spent £400,000 for his services in 2007 but they are now looking to release him, having loaned him out to Scottish Premier League side Motherwell since September.
