Sousa Proud Of His Players After Leicester Win

Paulo Sousa said he was proud of his players after they beat Leicester City 1-0 yesterday at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea City won one of the most important games of the season so far to give them a vital boost in their bid for a play-off place. The three points, courtesy of Gorka Pintado's first half strike, puts us up into 4th ahead of Cardiff City and Leicester.

Sousa said:

'They showed spirit, character, quality and personality. It was superb to see and I am very proud to work with these fantastic lads.

'The team is starting to grow in maturity with every performance and that was the difference today to our previous two defeats to Leicester this season.

'We showed outstanding quality in our game in the first-half and we could have scored a couple more goals.''

As for maintaining their place in the play-offs, Paulo added: 'If we keep doing well we will be there.

'It's not going to be easy, but now we are a hard team to beat and other clubs all respect us here at the Liberty.'
