Rangel Linked With £500k Celtic Move

Reports in Scotland are suggesting that SPL side Celtic are lining up a £500,000 bid for Angel Rangel.

The transfer rumour mill continues and the Scotland Sun believes that Celtic boss Tony Mowbray is going to make us an offer to win the race in signing the Spanish full back.

Angel Rangel's contract expires at the end of the season and a number of clubs are believed to be interesting in signing him on a free, but the Scottish Premier League outfit are hoping that a bid now would tempt the Swans to sell him in the January transfer window.

The right back made an impressive impact at the Liberty Stadium when he first joined in 2007, and he proved to be an excellent attacking full back.

He continued his impressive form into the Championship under Roberto Martinez last season but this campaign he is struggling to impress.

His average performances this year, plus the fact he's out of contract in June could well tempt us to selling him this month if we did receive a bid of half a million, but sources like the Sun are never reliable. Rangel was linked with moves to bigger clubs last Summer but we heard nothing official on the matter. It wouldn't surprise me if it'll be the same scenario this time.

If it's true, then accept. Think the player needs a new challenge.
