Britton: Middlesbrough Game With Be Tougher

Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton admits that yesterday's postponement could make the game at Middlesbrough tougher.

The weather conditions meant that we didn't face Gordon Strachan's side yesterday at the Riverside and Britton reckons it would have been a better time to face them.

'Maybe this weekend would have been a good time to play Middlesbrough,'

'I think they have got a few injury problems, with Adam Johnson out, while Lita is suspended.

'Things probably haven't gone as well for them as they might have hoped under Gordon Strachan, but they are talking about getting some big signings in.

'I am not sure when the re-arranged game will be, but they'll be hoping to have a few players back from injury and they might have a few new faces as well, so it could be tougher for us.

'But it's one of those things.

'The weather is causing chaos all over the country so the game was always going to be in danger.

'We're going to get a tough game whenever we go to Middlesbrough, but we know that if we're at our best, we're good enough to get a result.'

Britton's future at the club has been in question recently and there's been plenty of speculation and rumours linking the former West Ham United midfielder with a January move. There's no news as yet as to whether or not he'll be with us until the end of the season.
