Swansea City Linked With Torres

Swansea City have been linked with Torres, not the Liverpool striker unfortunately but South American defender Roman.

Sky Sports understands that fellow Championship side Blackpool have missed out on the defender, but he could join the Swans instead.

He currently plays at Copa Libertadores, who have received three offers from clubs in South America and Mexico for his services, but it's believed he wants a 'dream move' to the English League.

A move soon is unlikely but a spokesperson said:

'Roman knows of the interest in England and would love to play there or Spain but with the new season about to start, he wants his future settled soon.

'He's still only 23 and has many years ahead of him, if the move to Europe doesn't happen this season, I'm sure it will in the next year or two.'
