Cotterill Completes £600,000 Move

Sheffield United winger David Cotterill has completed a £600,000 move to Swansea City, signing a three-and-a-half deal at the Liberty Stadium.

The 22 year-old joined the Swans initially on loan in November with a view to making the move permanent in this month's transfer window.

The Welsh International has struggled to nail down a regular first team place at Sheffield United, starting just 3 games for the Blades this season.

He's had a slow start to his Swansea City career but it hasn't taken him long to show his ability, having scored a 30-yard cracker in last Saturday's FA Cup defeat away at Leicester City.

Cotterill told BBC Sport:

'I'm delighted its all finalised,'

'As far as I'm concerned I've joined the best footballing side in the Championship.

'I've come here to play football and I aim to keep working hard, get myself in the starting XI on a regular basis and chip in with a few more goals.

'It's not going to be easy because there are some good players here and the team is doing well.

'But I hope to stay here for a long time and help the club move on. There is no reason why we can't finish in the top six this season.'

Good luck to Cotts. But dont expect him to help out in defense, I have never seen such a clueless player where tracking back is concerned, your full back needs to be aware! He takes a mean penalty though.
