Painter Willing To Go Out On Loan

Marcos Painter says he's willing to go out on loan if it'll help him to get back into the first team.

The former Birmingham City left back was a regular under previous boss Roberto Martinez but since his departure and the arrival of Paulo Sousa, he has struggled to nail down a regular place in the side.

Painter was back in the first team on Saturday in the FA Cup third round tie at Leicester City but that was his first appearances since October away at West Brom, and that night he was replaced at half time by youngster Jazz Richards after a poor performance.

Despite a disappointing start to the season for the 23 year-old, he remains determined to get back his regular full back spot:

'My focus is on getting into the Swansea team and I am not looking to go out on loan,'

'But if the gaffer says he thinks I should go out and get some games, I will do it.

'I had a game at Leicester, and it's a positive that the gaffer has given me a game because he didn't have to.

'But I haven't had a run of games for a long time and I think any consecutive run would do me good.

'I think it would be beneficial to me and, if that's what the gaffer thinks I need, I am willing to do it.

'Don't get me wrong, though, Swansea is where I want to be playing, not any other club.'
