Anderson Hits Back At 'Jealous' Swansea Fans
Former Swansea City player Paul Anderson has hit back at Swans fans after the bad reception he received during Saturday's game at the Liberty Stadium.
The home fans often booed the Nottingham Forest winger and sung 'Daddy's Boy!' to the youngster as he decided to join Forest instead of the Swans after a successful season-long loan at the club in 2007/2008.
Swansea City had a fee agreed with Liverpool for Anderson but he decided to join Nottingham Forest, which just happens to be much closer to home than down here in South Wales.
He hit back at Swansea City fans and said he's made the right choice to join the Trees instead of the jacks:
'It was my first time back since I helped Swansea to promotion from League One and I was gutted with the reception,'
'I expected some stick, but not what I heard. It just came from some jealous fans. There were these rumours being spread that I only wanted to play for Forest as it was close to my home.
'But I'm a man and I make my own footballing decision.
'My family don't live too far away from Nottingham, but that didn't come into my thinking. It's pathetic really and a joke that I didn't get the respect I deserved.
'But it proves I was right as we're a bigger club and higher in the league than they are.'
Despite the loss, judging from Saturday's performance, we're much better off with Nathan Dyer than Paul Anderson.
