Sousa: 'It Wasn't A Fair Result'

Paulo Sousa said yesterday's 1-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest wasn't a fair result.

His side dominated large periods of the game but yet again we are struggling in front of goal and poor defending gave the opposition the chance to claim all three points.

It was a closely fought match in which we should have picked up at least a point, but with a lack of quality in the final third, we didn't deserve much from the game.

Sousa said:

'I don't think it was a fair result,''

'Against good quality teams you have to take your chances.

'Although we started the game very well, we missed a number of goal-scoring opportunities.

'We made a lot of effort against a well-organised team who came here to play defensively and look for counter-attacks.

'They wasted a lot of time during the game and I am disappointed for the fans, but we were unable to give them the win we deserved.'

I'm sorry but Paulo Sousa must be watching a different game to everyone else. Forest thoroughly deserved their win. They had a game plan, which we didn't. They sat back and allowed our back four to pass amongst themselves. Tate and Williams must have had the ball for at least 20 minutes of the game. When we get the ball out wide it's so slowly that both widemen are marked by three players. Our tempo is very very slow, only Dyer is able to inject any pace into the game. Sousai insists on playing Orlandi as a central midfielder when he so obviously can't play there. Play Allen--horses for courses. No way are we going to score goals with this style of play. I'm not the only one who is saying this--everyone was disgruntled by our way of playing.

must agree, this style of play is pathetic we will finish way down the division if this keeps up, Dyer was waiting countless times down the wing for the ball to come over the top for him to run onto, but no just another pass across the back four, Prats was a waste of time too, every time he passes back, so f'ing boring, i'd try Dyer up front would be so much more effective than what we have.
