Orlandi Can't Wait To Face Newcastle At Home

Andrea Orlandi says he can't wait to face Newcastle United at the Liberty Stadium, as he looks for revenge following Saturday's 3-0 defeat.

Chris Hughton's top of the table side did the damage in just 28 minutes as Harewood (2) and Lovenkrands both scored headed goals to give them a healthy lead at half time.

Paulo Sousa's looked to respond and they did themselves proud, dominating large periods of the game but they were unable to break down the League's toughest defence.

Andrea Orlandi believes it'll be a different story when the Magpies visit the Liberty Stadium in February.

He said:

'I am already looking forward to that game and to making sure we start it properly,'

'Newcastle's players are getting paid maybe 20 times as much as we are, but we played better than them I thought and that's a good sign for us.

'We feel we can compete with them. There's a huge difference between the clubs, but we are getting better — we are growing up as a club.

'We are still a small club compared to Newcastle, but we have shown we can compete with them in the last hour of the game.

'We have lost this one, but I think it will be a different story when we play them at the Liberty.'

Swansea City are 6th after the weekend's action, still above Cardiff City after they lost 2-1 at home to Ipswich Town.
