'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Swansea Have Got An Almost Perfect Formula

Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton says Swansea City have got 'an almost perfect formula'.

Hughton is well aware of the strengths that Swansea City possess - their passing ability and their solid defence - and together it's something that gives Sousa's team the 'almost perfect formula'.

Today's game should be a cracker. Two form teams who play good football occupying first and fourth places respectively, and a huge crowd at the impressive St James Park should make it an exciting afternoon.

Hughton said:

“What they’ve got is almost a perfect formula,”

“They are a very good passing team who accept responsibility on the ball. But they also don’t concede many goals.

“What I expect to face are a very good side who hold possession well. They get into the right areas and they are a team that defensively will get bodies back behind the ball and make themselves tough to beat.

“Swansea are a form team and we’ve had form teams come to St James’ in the past and put up a good account of themselves. The onus is on us to win.”
