Sousa Says Cotterill Will Be Worth The Money

Paulo Sousa says he has no doubts that David Cotterill will be money well spent when the loan move is made permanent in January.

The Sheffield United right winger joined the Swans this week and it's expected that the club will splash out around £500,000 for his services when the transfer window opens again in the New Year.

Sousa is delighted to have the 21 year-old Welshman at the club, he told the Evening Post:

'We are bringing in a player who will cost us some money, but I don't have doubts that his value will be a lot greater in the future,'

'I know he will be worth a lot more than he will cost us because he has a long career in front of him.

'We expect to help him become a more competitive player, and to help him get into Wales's first XI more often.'

'I am very happy to have David,'

'He is young and Welsh, which are things I am looking for, and he has characteristics which will suit our game and are different from what we have already.

'He needs to improve in some areas, especially his communication with our other players because they expect different things from him.

'But I know he will improve playing our style of football.'
