Williams Captains Wales In 3-0 Win

Swansea City defender Ashley Williams captained John Toshack's Wales side as they beat Scotland 3-0 in today's friendly.

The 25 year-old was recently named Wales' player of the year and Club Player of the Award and after wearing the captain's armsband today, Williams said that it has been the best week of his career.

'It's been an unbelievable week for me,''

'I don't think it could get any better and it's certainly been the best week of my career.

'I think we showed what we can do today. We said before the game that we need to show everyone that we've grown up as a squad and we've learnt a lot ahead of the new campaign.''


Joe Allen also featured as he replaced Aaron Ramsey, coming on as a second half substitute.
