Cardiff City Fans Damage Liberty Stadium

Swansea City have thousands of pounds in repair bills to pay thanks to some of Cardiff City's idiotic fans.

1,800 or so Bluebirds fans were at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday as they watched their side lose 3-2 to Swansea City, and afterwards they damaged the Stadium, seats and toilets were vandalised, pipe work ripped from the walls and doors broken.

In a join statement from the club and the stadium managers, they said that they were 'extremely disappointed' with the damage and that the toilets in the North Stand are now unusable. About 60 seats were also damaged.

'We will be talking to South Wales Police on what measures are being taken to investigate and what improved procedures we can put in place to prevent this sort of unacceptable damage happening in the future.''Mr Alm from Cardiff City's Supporters' Trust said:

'I'm just disappointed that people behave in that way - I don't know what they think they achieve from it.'

'If they can't behave I just wish they would not come to football any more,'

'I just hope that they realise they have probably cost our football club thousands of pounds.'

Swansea City also had to pay for repairs last year in the same League fixture.

Why do we let them in!? They'll only go home disappointed and take it out on our facilities.

The bill is coming to Cardiff, as it did the previous time. It's also worth pointing out that the quotes in this article were not from the statement but mostly from Vince Alm of the CCFC Supporters club having a go at the pr!cks who did it. Ashamed to be associated with them

Again... I'd be interested to know if any other club did anything similar last season, although probably not.
