Paulo Sousa says tonight's superb 1-0 win away at League leaders West Brom was an important one for his side.
The Swans are beginning to put together a good run of results at the moment and no other team in the League has gone 7 games unbeaten this season like Sousa's side has.
What was impressive about tonight's result was that we kept yet another clean sheet, against a team that managed to score 5 at home against Middlesbrough, who beat 3-0 at the Liberty Stadium.
It was indifferent start to the season for Paulo Sousa and his side, but results are significantly improving, and so too is the quality of our performances.
Sousa says tonight win was important, as it gives his players a boost in confidence.
'To win away against the top team in the table is an important night for me,' he said.
'It was an important three points for us, it gives us a lot more confidence.
'When you win an important game like this one, an away game, against the team that's top of the table, a team that is going for promotion, it is always important.
'It tells us we are in a good way and this is what we wanted.
'When you get victories, you get more conviction and more confidence.'
Sousa also talked about Craig Beattie, who got the winning goal tonight against his former club, he added:
'He's one of the players who is improving a lot but everyone has got a job and when everyone does their job it helps us to score,'
'And for Craig, as a striker, you need to score and if you score then it's important for your confidence.'
