Thomas Joins Morgan At Newport County

Casey Thomas will team up with fellow Swansea City team-mate Kerry Morgan at Newport County after joining the Conference South club on a 1-month loan.

Thomas, along with a number of other young players at the club have been given their first chance in the first team thanks to new manager Paulo Sousa.

The pacey winger impressed on his first team debut in a pre-season friendly at home to FC Twente, coming on as a substitute, scoring a goal and winning a penalty.

He also came on as a late sub during the 3-0 home League defeat against Middlesbrough.

Thomas will join County for initially one month, with a view to extend the loan move.

We wish Kerry and Casey all the best during their spell at Newport and we'll be following their progress.

surely though, as a championship club our youngsters should be able to find league 1,2 clubs to go on loan too. Suprised clubs like Swindon, Yeovil didn't fancy them two. Beats sending them out to the league of Wales though.
