Swansea City Or Wales? Which Would You Sacrifice?

With there being another international break and no Swansea City match for a fortnight, there was an interesting discussion on the forum this week about which Football Club you would sacrifice, Wales or Swansea City?

For argument's sake then, which would you sacrifice in order to support the other? Would you drop Wales for the Swans or vice versa?

Here are some of the comments posted so far:

Would have to be Wales easily against the Swans. I used to love going up every other game to watch Wales but after the last few bluddy dire performances on top of atmospheres you would expect at a library it just adds up to a miserable footballing day out.

With that in mind I am fully behind the country's youth set up which recently gained a UEFA 5 star rating. 1 of only 11 countries.

I'm Swansea only, no care for Wales in the slightest and never have. Don't mind the welsh football team but don't support them in any shape or form. And my views on the rugby, well you don't want to know them.

No contest between the Swans and Wales.

Swans are my passion and I want them to win every game.

Wales are only of slight interest and although I do support them it doesn't concern me too much when they lose.

You should support both, if you are welsh support Wales. They need all the support they can get. But If i had to choose one it would be Swansea.

most would choose Swansea over Wales. I used to go to every Wales game until the FAW got a bit too greedy for my liking. The 2004 side was on the verge of qualification so the FAW sold the rights to matches to Sky, excluding a lot of Welsh supporters from supporting their nation on the BBC. Then they bumped up ticket prices and the process of buying tickets remains a shambles and i guess they didn't bank on the team cocking up the EURO 2004 qualification so spectacularly. Even with oppostion like Germany at the Millenium Stadium it wasn't enough to draw in a crowd. Note to FAW: the lack of fans and atmosphere has more to do with you than it has the team!!

Swansea all the way. Same with rugby, Ospreys all the way. Love Wales and would like them to do well but not at the expense of a few chosen clubs. I wont change or apologies for how I feel and I have no thoughts for or against those who chose to think different. Good luck to you and yourn, but me and mine will do what's in our hearts.
