Bodde Hungry To Return To Action

Ferrie Bodde's agent says the midfielder is hungry to return to action after suffering another long injury setback.

The Dutchman suffered a knee ligament injury in November 2008 and didn't return to League action until last month. In his first appearance in the starting 11, he lasted just 8 minutes after suffering a recurrence of the same injury, and he's set to undergo a long rehabilitation period all over again.

It's a massive blow for the 27 year-old but his agent says he's hungry to make a return next season for the Swans. Frank Schouten told the Evening Post:

'Ferrie is disappointed about the injury of course, but he has already accepted that it has happened and he wants to fight to come back 100 per cent fit for Swansea City,'

'He has another long rehabilitation in front of him, but he is looking to the future.

'It's a shame what's happened, but there's only one thing Ferrie can do now and that is focus on coming back as soon as possible.

'We are in touch with (Swansea chairman) Huw Jenkins every day to try to sort out the best way for Ferrie to recover.

'He was enjoying being back involved with his team-mates before the injury came again and he can't wait for the day when he gets a flight to Cardiff and jumps in a car to come to Swansea and play again.

'He is hungry like a pit bull to get back playing for the club.'

Good to hear that he's resolute to fight with it. Let's wish him a successful recovery.

Hopefully we'll see him come back at the beginning of next season the same quality player.

don't think he'll be the player he was, 2 years with no football, 2 years older, and won't have gained any more experience, sad to say but i doubt he'll make a top top player, would love him to prove me wrong
