Skipper Garry Monk says the team is far more solid this under new boss Paulo Sousa.
Swansea City have kept 6 cleansheets already this season whereas last year it took us until December 6th to achieve the same feat.Newcastle United are the only team to have conceded less goals than us after 11 Championship games.
Some of the fans have begun to criticise Paulo Sousa after a disappointing start to the season but things are beginning to improve recently. We've picked up 7 points in the last 3 games and we've only got 2 points less than this time last season.
Garry Monk told the Evening Post:
'We are more solid this season,'
'The gaffer has come in and in training things are definitely more tactical.
'At set-pieces and from open play, we look more solid.
'Sometimes last season maybe we went a bit gung-ho but we have learned a lot from that.
'We were patient against Queens Park Rangers last Saturday, and you saw that with the second goal.
'We passed and passed and passed, we didn't rush things and we waited for our moment to pick them off.'
Monk also praised the players around him in the back 5, he added:
'I think the fact that we've been together for a while has helped,'
'Last season was the first full one together for me and Ashley Williams, and I think we are getting better together with time.
'I know Angel Rangel well on the right side of the defence and then there's Alan Tate or Marcos Painter on the left.
'We have made progress together. Then behind us we have Dorus de Vries, who is in superb form at the moment.
'The clean-sheet record is great so far this season, and that's something we want to continue.'
