Magilton: 'We Lacked A Cutting Edge'

QPR boss Jim Magilton said his side lacked a cutting edge today as they lost 2-0 against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

QPR enjoyed large spells of good attacking play. Simpson and Routledge fired just wide in the first half and De Vries had to make 2 superb saves early in the second half to keep the scores level.

A lack of quality finishing cost QPR 3 points as they created the better chances during the 90 minutes.

Magilton said:

'We started really well but should have scored in the first half.

'Swansea came out much better after the interval, but their keeper still had to make a couple of great saves to stop us from taking the lead.

'It was two influential players who were dismissed and we carried one or two others, but we still tried to play positive football despite the setbacks.

'I felt comfortable for the opening half hour but that lack of a cutting edge has cost us.'

they could have won it but thanks to De Vries who kept it at 0-0 before we were able to take advantage of their lack of discipline
